A Delivery is the actual fulfilment of the Supplier's obligations under an order and according to the terms of the Contract. A Delivery may be full (completing the order) or partial. Unless stated otherwise, a Delivery is considered complete.
A delivery can take many forms depending on the type of order, i.e.:
- providing a product or completing a service
- performing agreed work
- making premises available
- transferring funds or an investment
- or any other action the Supplier committed to
After a delivery is notified, the client will review it and if it’s accepted, it means it meets the requirements of the order, therefore:
- the delivery becomes final, and
- the related remuneration becomes payable under the agreed payment terms.
The order delivery can be tracked in the following ways:
- Automatic: Delivery status is automatically calculated based on the order status
- Simple: Delivery status can be updated automatically on certain triggering events or manually by certain user actions.
- Order or Order item level: a separate delivery object is created which can be linked to the Order item, or to specific order items. A delivery can cover multiple orders or order items.
